Atilim University was established in Ankara on a green area of 250 thousand meters, with the aim of providing high-level academic education and conducting research to produce science and technology. Since its establishment on July 15, 1997, Atilim University has been taking effective steps to achieve these goals.
The university ranked 4th among the best Turkish universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) rankings and 2nd among Turkish universities participating in physical sciences research. It was also ranked among the top 250 universities in “Emerging Europe and Central Asia” according to the ranking prepared by QS based on education and research activities.
Atilim University offers higher education programs through 40 academic programs, in the faculties of Engineering, Law, Management, Fine Arts, Design, Architecture, Arts, Health Sciences, Civil Aviation and Distance Education. In addition, the university offers graduate schools for natural and applied sciences and social sciences.

Scientific Research
Atılım University adopts an advanced research culture to graduate researchers and innovators. Atılım University encourages the scientific production efforts of individuals and groups of students and faculty members by developing and spreading the scientific research culture at all levels and providing administrative support to researchers in the practical application of their research, obtaining loans and grants supported by foreign countries, and developing, planning and implementing commercial and industrial projects.
The main goal of scientific research at Atılım University is to contribute to science at the local and global levels. University research projects are shared through exhibitions, conferences and presentations at the end of each academic year. In addition to transforming technological developments into value-added products for society by developing various industrial projects.
Atılım University also has 150 scientific research laboratories open to students and academics for research and training purposes. There are 14 research centers, including the Metal Forming Center, which is one of the most advanced centers in Europe and the first research center in Turkey in this field.
Atılım University supports the studies of academics from faculty members to become a world-class university within the framework of:
Scientific Research Projects (BAP).
University Research Projects (LAP).
Research Laboratory Projects (ALP).
Projects supported by TUBITAK.
Projects implemented in cooperation with various institutions and organizations from the public and private sectors.
Important Notes
Students wishing to study the Professional Flight Training major are subject to an exam at a Turkish hospital and the student must be present in Istanbul. The university determines the name of the hospital, and the exam is called (First Class Pilot Examination) through which the student’s acceptance into this major is determined. In addition, the student enrolled in the major pays 50 thousand euros for flight training expenses.
The duration of the study of the Professional Flight Training major is four years, not two years.
The student can obtain a grant from the aforementioned expenses after considering his academic excellence, and it is preferable that this be proven by documents that the student must send to the MAALINA team
